Description / Abstract:
These methods cover the following types of castings:
Type A—Castings made of iron that, when cast against a
chiller, have a surface free of graphitic carbon; the balance of
the casting consisting of mottled and gray iron.
Type B—Castings that are free of graphitic carbon
as-cast due to selected chemical composition.
A complete metric companion to Methods A 360 has been
developed—A 360M; therefore, no metric equivalents are presented in
these Methods.
This standard does not purport to address all of the safety
