Description / Abstract:
These methods cover the following types of castings:
Type A—Castings made of iron that, when cast against a chiller, have a surface free of graphitic carbon; the balance of the casting consisting of mottled and gray iron.
Type B—Castings that are free of graphitic carbon as-cast due to selected chemical composition.
A complete metric companion to Methods A 360 has been developed—A 360M; therefore, no metric equivalents are presented in these Methods.
This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
