Description / Abstract:
This standard of acceptable concentration of beryllium applies
to all workplaces where dusts, fumes, or mists of beryllium or its
compounds may be present in the air, and where the duration and
circumstances of exposure are similar to those described
herein.
Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to provide useful information for the control of exposures to beryllium and beryllium compounds and to aid in the design and operation of equipment so as to protect the health of workers.
