Description / Abstract:
This Standard detai ls definitions, methods of measurement, and
minimum performance requirements for access networks. This Standard
shares the purpose of [1] (andsubsequent revisions thereof)
by ensuring that an access terminal can obtain service inany
system that meets the compatibi lity requirements of [1].
Compatibi lity, as used in connection with this Standard and [1], is understood to mean that any access terminal is able to open data connections in any UMBTM1system. Conversely,all UMB systems are able to open connections with any access terminal.
Test methods are recommended in this document; however, methods other than thoserecommended may suffice for the same purpose.
